Step 1: Downloading Battle.net App
If you already have the Battle.net App installed, skip to step 3.
If you do not have the Battle.net App installed, go to the website here: https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/apps/battle.net/desktop
Click on the blue button that says “Download for Windows”. Once the installation application has downloaded, run it and install the Battle.net Desktop App on your PC.
Note: If you are using a Mac click on the “for Mac” link just below the blue download button.
Once the Battle.net App has installed, launch it and you should be met with a Login window.
Step 2: Login or Create an Account
You only need to have one Battle.net account – if you already have one then simply login to your account using your username/password.
If you do not have a Battle.net account to create one simply click on the link that says “Create a free Blizzard Account”.
Alternatively you can choose to login through either Facebook or Google.
You may need to activate your email address in order to use your Battle.net account.
Once you have logged in you will see the main Battle.net window.
Step 3: Activate Your Game
In the main Battle.net window you will see your username and player icon in the top right corner. Click on your user name and in the drop-down menu click “View Account”.
This should open up a window in your web browser. On this page you should now see your “Account Overview” and also a content box that says “Redeem a Code”.
Simply enter your product code here to activate your game to your account. Once the game code has been redeemed the game will be added to your library and cannot be unbound from your account.
Step 4: Download Your Game
Now that you have redeemed your code, go back to the Battle.net main window and click on the game that has been activated.
On the game’s profile page there should be a link that says “Options”, click that and then select “Install” in the drop-down menu. The game will begin to install and once finished you’ll be able to play.
Note: Sometimes after redeeming a code you may need to restart Battle.net for the installation option to appear.
