Step 1: Downloading Urban VPN
If you already have/use a VPN service then simply select the region/country as given per the purchased game and then redeem the game code while your VPN is active.
If you do not have a VPN service then we recommend using Urban VPN, as it is free and simple/easy to use.

Urban VPN can be installed on a Windows PC, Mac, iPhone, Android, or even through a browser extension.
Important: Once you have used Urban VPN to redeem your game code, you do not need to keep using it. It can be uninstalled/disabled once the code has been redeemed.
Step 2: Login or Create an Account
If you don’t have an account already with Urban VPN then create one. You may need to comfirm/activate an email or something similar to verify your account.
Once you have created your account then login via the software.
Step 3: Activate Your Game
Change your location via Urban VPN to match the location requirement of your game code. The country or region should be displayed on the digital delivery page.
If you aren’t sure how to redeem your game code then check the Xbox Guide here. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to redeem the code on the device that you have installed the Urban VPN software. If you only installed the app for a browser then you’ll need to redeem the code via that browser.
Step 4: Remove Urban VPN
Once you have redeemed your game code then it’s safe to uninstall Urban VPN from your device. It is only needed to redeem the code – it isn’t required to either download/install or to play the game.
If you plan to purchase more games that require VPN activation, then it might be worth keeping Urban VPN, but make sure that it isn’t running in the background when it doesn’t need to be.
