Mad Max: Underrated?
Why is Mad Max such an underrated game?
Possibly because the game was largely overshadowed by the success of the Mad Max: Fury Road movie. The game was released shortly after the movie but to nowhere near the amount of publicity. Developed by Avalanche Studios, and released in September 2015, the game received considerably less publicity than Just Cause 3 (also developed by Avalanche Studios) that came out just two months later.
The game itself is arguably a much better game than Just Cause 3. The vast, open world really brings the Mad Max universe to life. With a storyline, side missions, combat, vehicular combat and a massive world to expore, you can easily pour 40+ hours into this game and not get bored. While certain elements of the game can feel repetitive, there is enough to keep you entertained until the very end.
One of the key selling points to the Mad Max game is that it is actually a quite unique. There aren’t many single player games, set in a post-apocalyptic world where you can drive around in your customized monster of a car and do battle with baddies.
It’s a fun game and well worth checking out!
